Shortness of breath and slight chest pains??? |
I've had sob (shortness of breath) and a tension in my chest for the past few days. I am a 22 yr old otherwise healthy female and I am currently in college with no health insurance, and the health clinic is too expensive for me right now. Are you under a lot of stress? See your guidance counselor, they should be able to steer you in the right direction. College is stressful, I think your symptoms may be related to stress. If you've recently started hormone based birth control (the pill, the patch, NuvaRing, etc.), you could have blood clots in your lungs. The risk for this increases if you are a smoker. it could be stress. I sometimes get pain in my chest also and I am a mother with alot of stress. It could be stress related but depsite no health insurance & the expense of the health clinic, you need to be seen by a doctor. Don't wait !!!! Sounds to me like you have asthma. It might not even be full blown asthma but just allergy induced which is what I get, I am definitely not a doctor. But I am going to tell you what I did when I had the same problem. Lie down on your back. Take 40 deep breaths( as deep as possible) Turn to your right side and take 40 deep breaths. And finally turn to your left side and take an additional 40 deep breaths. Do this every morning and every evening until you are better. It worked for me. I hop it will for you. can happen because of smoking. only need to take oxygen for an hour and you will be fine. Do not smoke or drink excessively ...........that includes Alcohol and coffee. And no drugs please. |
