Shortness of breath, heart palpitations and other symptoms?? |
Whenever I am relaxing or trying to fall asleep, I start to get heart palpitations and it really freaks me out! Sometimes I get this with shortness of breath, and I get very alert and worried because it feels like my heart is getting larger and pumping very hard. Regardless of when or how long you experience these symptoms you really need to see a doctor. These symptoms could be as minor as an anxiety attack(which is really not a minor symptom at your age), to something major, even fatal like heart problems. Symptoms are gifts given to us so that we realize when something is not right. DON'T IGNORE THEM !!!!!!!! YOU NEED TO GO TO DOC ASAP!!! IT COULD BE A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT THING.. PLZ GO TO DOC anxiety, look into it To me (and I'm not a medical professional) it sounds like what I have - Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I used to have the same symptoms, and it turned out I was having a lot of stress/anxiety at the same time and just not realizing it. DO YOU TAKE DIET PILLS? I WOULD GO TO THE DOCTOR JUST IN CASE YOU CAN NEVER BE TO CARFUL. You should still get a Dr's opinion. There are tests they can do to rule out stuff even if you aren't having symptoms right then. Go ahead and make that appointment. You should go to a doctor and explain ALL your symptoms. Visit cardiologist and medical specialist at once, on this case. You should go to your family doctor as soon as possible. Your blood pressure may be high, or you may have angina. You still should go and describe it to the doctor. You don't have to be having the symptoms for them to do heart tests on you and at least it will put your mind at rest if there's nothing wrong. Palpitations are not unusual, but still worth talking to the doctor about. Why don't you take this seriously and see your doctor. I know people in the US may not have insurance but somethings are important. So go to the doctor. They will put a monitor that you wear for about a week that records your cardiac activity. Honestly it sounds like anxiety because I have anxiety and those are my exact symptoms. However, to be certain it's not something to do with your heart you can go to a cardiologist even when you aren't having the symptoms and be tested for heart murmer or tachycardia and so forth. Even just your regular doctor could check you out and decide if you need to go on and see a cardiologist. It will probably get worse if you do nothing, especially if it's anxiety, and if it is, there are many ways to help you out with that. Please go to your family doctor. Anxiety--no...that's exactly what I thought. I went for months with anxiety attacks and panic attacks until I finally resided to meds. I take Lexapro. It was a life saver. I couldn't even leave my couch. Please believe me and see your doctor. you're suffering from panic attacks. You will be alright. lay off the coffee, that happens to me when I have too much caffeine Go to a primary for a physical then get a referral to a cardiologist. They can do tests that will confirm or rule out many possible causes for your symptoms whether you are in the midst of the symptoms or not. Certainly you will be even more ANXIOUS if it is something serious that could be treated and you ignored the possibilities. To love your body and love your life, take a positive, active part always in knowing what is best for your health. A VERY common deficiency that can result in heart palpatation is MAGNESIUM. I use to have the same thing and it ended up being a hyperthyroid..call your doc. better be checked. They can but an overnight monitor on...it will tell them what it is. |
