Shortness of breath am i dying ?


Well i have had chest xrays breathing test heart test blood test one test was from my wrist to chest oxygen level and im all perfect so why do i have shortness of breath still and when i eat too am i dying im 20 years old and also have anxiety and panic attacks

i have asma allergies and im 120lbs and i smoke and all doctors told me i have anxiety and panic attacks and its in my head
can this be true?

Perhaps you just need to calm down a little? But anyways it could be a result of many things. I've had this problem in the past too and it could either be allergies, especially living out in the Arizona desert with the temperature always 110+. But you mentioned you 120 lbs. How tall are, because this was my case a few years ago. I'm 115 pounds and am 5 foot 10 inches. If you're really tall, then the problem is that your body is disproportionate. Meaning that if you're tall, your lungs and stuff may be stretched too thin. So if you're tall, just try and gain some weight to get your organs back in proportion.

Yes, panic attacks and anxiety can make you feel sick. Being panicky and anxious can raise your blood pressure, heart rate, and cause stress among other things. This can lead to all you are feeling. You really need to look at what is going on in your life that could be stressing you out so much. Does anxiety run in your family? Also, lay of the cigs.

you have had a number of tests that would show if you were really so ill as to be dying. anxiety can make a person feel they are having trouble breathing and even feel they are dying.
i suggest you go with this and have the anxiety treated both with medication and counselling.

Hi! Sorry to hear you are feeling bad. Symptoms of panic can be very physical and severe. Try the following steps for panic attacks and anxiety:

1. Breathe properly. If you control your breathing, you control panic. As soon as you notice the signs of anxiety, check your breathing: breathe in slowly through your nose pushing your tummy out (to the count of 5 or so). Breathe out slowly and for a bit longer (to the count of 7 or so) through your mouth. Do not breathe rapidly or shallowly (in the chest area). This will soon restore the balance of oxygen and you will feel a lot better.

2. Try Cognitive Behavioural Therapy! CBT is proven to be the most effective thing for panic attacks and anxiety. It takes a bit of work, but it is super effective. (After 15 years of panic attacks, mine stopped completely). You can take a course for free online at: www.livinglifetothefull.com/ It has been funded by NHS Scotland and has had great results thus far.

3. Try relaxation exercise tapes (progressive muscular relaxation). They really help if you practise often enough

my wife has been going threw similar problems for years . the doctors said she had allergies and asthma she was on so many med . it was unreal just to day she went to a allergy clinic they told her it was vcd (vocal cord dysfunction) they compared it to breathing threw a straw . check it out hope this helps
