Can Household Electric Shock cause tissue damage? |
I got a shock from 110v years ago - I wasn't exposed for very long and I had no skin burns but I have been convinced that somehow the current had damaged tissue or nerve endings in my penis. Obviously it wasn't connected to ground but I could feel the charge exit partially through the tip. Could the shock have permanently impaired tissue internally? When tissue resisitence is high you get surface burns but when it is low as in this case you may have internal burns. Doctors have all said lasting damage just wouldn't have been possible but I still wonder if I'm the exception to the rule. I have had problems with (lack of) sensation that I date to that event. thanks for the input. this is personal advice, not medical advice |
