Circulatory shock? |
Through lab tests, how is circulatory shock detected? MRI, blood test, etc? (in progressive stage of shock..increase BUN n creatinine, urinary output 30ml/hour or below, increased blood lactic levels, metabolic acidosis,) no labs, it's clinical. there's no time for labs in such a case Circulatory shock is primarily determined by measuring the blood pressure. When that pressure is so low that adequate blood flow to vital organs is impaired the body will tend to shut down and toxins accumulate in the blood. Kidneys, heart and brain in such a situation may all not function normally. If the situation is allowed to continue untreated it may become progressive and irreversible and the patient may die in coma or from cardiac arrest. |
