I'm planning on having a sexual health check-up this week before i sleep with my boyfriend. Can anyone tell me what the process is? Do they draw blood?? :s This is a sensible health move, i hope your boyfriend is similarly as careful. This check up is common and routine in USA where it would include an HIV and Hepatitis C check. There is no formal UK protocol and therefore it might be a little random. It you have no specific worries I would do a swab for syphilis. gonorrhoea and chlamydia. Blood for HIV + hepatitis C. should he not be having the check up as well as you.. x.. BLOOD is surly a must...or a swab from your passage .. more possible... Didnt mean to scare u, but some of the results need to be re-checked, cause sometimes the "thing" is in the body already, but didnt show up yet, so extra protection not a harm!....and ENJOY, honey! yes they do, n he needs to have a test too. |
