Am going for a sexual health check-up, what does it involve? |
Im male, going for a general check/test at the sexual-health clinic. Dont know what to expect? Not much dude, its pretty informal, u'll most likely get asked a few odd questions from the doctor - i.e have you slept with a prostitute in the last 6 months / have you slept with a man in the last 6 months ( no joke ) / how many times have you had sex etc, its all confidential so dont worry on that front. Probably get offered an HIV/AIDS blood test but thats up to you, then the worst bit you will get swabbed ( japs eye I'm afraid! ) but at worst that might sting a bit. A quick urine sample then off to the waiting room! Any probs they'll give you a course of medication, but hopefully your clean eh!? they take a blood sample then get a swab and push it a little into your member then test it all and get the results back to you within a week Normal physical check,blood,urine,swab and maybe stool test.Thats all, I have been through it before... The same as what everyone else answered BUT if, like me, you are squeamish at the thought of anyone sticking anything down your urethal opening (peehole) you can refuse this part. They can run the same tests by taking a urine sample. nothing to worry about just get asked aload of questions and they take a blood sample urine sample and take a swab from the end off your penis which is like a cotton bud but its not painful at all why are you going? |
