Anyone experienced this?

Hey has anyone experience physical and sexual assault by a therapist while so ill you did not know if you were in his office or in your own apt? now isolated in small apt alone no family who cares anymore since being ill. Anyone know where I can meet some nice people who care about other peoples feelings and not to cause harm?

Yes I suffer from PTSD and Major Depression. Meds include Effexor and Ativan. So afraid! He said no one would believe me and he would just deny it and who would they believe? Also threatened my life if I told anyone!

If the therapist is licensed or certified by any state or certification board, he or she can have his license reviewed for revocation for sexual involvement with a patient. I promise you that your allegations would be taken seriously and believed, regardless of what your therapist says. Also, this is very unethical behavior. I am a licensed therapist and would NEVER even consider doing this to a patient. Do a web search for your state and the mental health or psychiatric licensing board to report your allegation to. Lastly, this is NEVER your fault, so do NOT accept your therapist's intimidation about no one believing you. You may also be able to sue for malpractice for this, since again, sexual misconduct is a very serious no-no for therapists. i don't know anyone/any place you can go to in particular, BUT, i would report whoever physically and sexually assaulted you. think of the harm/hurt he caused you and think about the other people he could possibly be doing this too.

The therapist needs to be reported, if this is true. What kind of medication are you on?

There are many non-profit organizations devoted to sexual assault/sexual abuse survivors. I am sure there is a group that meets in your community.

Do you have other mental health issues that have been diagnosed by a therapist?

Your not too specific on your diagnoses, but I gather your family is not around you due to your illness? Perhaps you should attempt to reach out to them. Church is a good place to go for the right kind of support. You could also call a different clinic and set up a consultation with a different therapist, and you may discuss your past concerns with the other therapist while your there.
