Sprayed with sewage last week and now really sick?

Due to a major plumbing problem at work, I was accidentally sprayed with raw sewage last week give or take a few days. Now, for the past two days I have had a fever and severe vomitting. I cannot eat or drink anything. Think it's the flu or a result of the spraying? No one else around me is sick so far. No insurance means no doc. Any idea how long it would take for one to become sick from a spraying? I know this is comical and sort of a silly question but I feel like I am going to pass out from being so weak now. Thanks...

If you got sprayed with sewage at work your employer should pay for your doctor.

Vomiting is a dangerous life-threatening condition; it sverely dehidrates you. Go to emergency room. It sounds like a bacterial infection or poisoning (people put all sorts of stuff in the sewage) rather than a flu. 2-3 days sounds about right for an intestinal desease.

I think you better go to the emergency room.

i remember when i was little my mom was a cleaning lady, she was cleaning a toilet and it splashed up on her. its gross but some of the water got in her mouth. she was really sick. like she lost a couple pounds she was so sick. it was caused by bacteria and untreated turns into a viral infection....get some antibiotics and youll be fine

its a heath hazard to become in contact with raw sewage. I'll pray for you ..

This isn't silly you can have one of many serious diseases that exist in sewage. Go to the emergency room and tell them what happened. There is Typhus, Typhoid, Dysentery, and E COLI, any of which can kill you, and some are communicatable.

You'll definitely need some antibiotics or other medications. This is almost certainly caused by your poo shower. I doubt you will die, but your body will need some time to deal with such a severe bacterial assault.

you should go to the ER for sure

If it happen at work, it is work related and you should be covered by workmens comp. I work in a hospital and have been hit with blood, vomit and poop, but raw sewage sounds far worse. It's not at all comical or silly. Depending on how bad you were sprayed and how long it was on you before you got to a shower, it could have entered your body through any opening, even a small cut. I would see a doctor, see if he thinks some blood work is in order and send the bill to your employer.

you need to get in to see a doctor- this is not silly at all. The possiblities are endless of what type of infection you could have from raw sewage. And do not worry about insurance- if it was something that happened because of something at work- your work will have to handle the bill- legally.

Go to the Emergency Room. You need medical care. You could have anything from e.coli to hepatitis you never know. Its much better to go and get well. You may be able to seek the Dr bills to be paid by your employer. Dont wait though. Have someone take you ASAP>>> its your health and its worth the expense

Sounds like Workers Comp if it happened at work.

sounds like a case of hepatitis a. i'd seek medical attention asap.

good luck!
