Queensland Australia Drought!!? |
We're in a water crisis here in oz, and the government is planning to open a waste water (sewage) treatment plant to turn (sewage) into drinking water. My Q? is would you drink treated ( sewage water) ? We do everyday in the U.S., approximately 90% of the drinking water is circulated through wastewater treatment facilities with strict EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) guidelines. hmm most of the water in the world had been recycled so I think its ok if they clean it good Yeah... probably! Where about's in queensland do you live? no iwould probably not drink Sewage water, but you coud get a purifier I think we do all the time. I think they treat it and send it back to us all the time. Sorry about your troubles. I like your country. It is very nice. It is nice to go there and get away from the violence in the USA. I can breathe there. I do not feel like I am going to get shot or raped. It is so different than home. I need a break. I should save up to go back for a 2 week holiday so I can rest. We do this here in the U.S. Our water travels through the sewer and then is sent through a wastewater filtration plant and goes through a lot of steps before being released and it is ultimately sent back after being purified. Most of us purchase a water filter to put on our faucets. Of course... they do it at Disney. hi i live in Queensland too iam i dont think we will have a choice when the water runs out so to answer your question i would have to say yes i saw this thing in america and it was on the news where during Hurricane Rita they did this thing where they could put dirty, sewer type water in a special type bag and in about an hour or 3 hours it was made drinkable-it had something to with the way the bag was made and the chemicals in it and stuff- ( it was made for people trying to survive in a hurricane so they could be able to drink clean water even if they could only find sewer water.) my point is that yes i'm pretty sure the water will be ok because your government probably has beter ways of making dirty water purified and clean. Sure, it's done in other parts of the world with no problems, so why not! All water is recycled at some point. I'd rather drink very well filtered and treated water than poorly treated water from dams and rivers like most of Australia has anyway (which has people and animal waste in it anyway). |
