Is septicemia spreadable? especially to teenagers ? |
my partners nephew is only one years old and is very is, hospital saying he has speticemia. concerned about it being contageous. i dont want to spread the disease to my teenage sister and my family. Any one help? It can be but if you are all healthy with a healthy immune system it probably won't spread. Prophyactic antibiotics should be given to close contacts if pneumococcus, meningococcus, and haemophilus are present, just to be safe. I hope that the lil guy is ok.
