If sepsis is leaking(oozing) out of a patient -will she die? if so how long? |
If sepsis is leaking(oozing) out of a patient -will she die? if so how long? Sepsis is one of the leading causes of death in hospitals today. I had a surgical mishap almost four years ago and almost died from sepsis. I hope your loved one is in a good hospital with a good Infectious Disease MD, A good ICU MD and a good General Surgeon. I had a 3% chance of survival. Is she on antibiotics? Where exactly would this oozing take place? i don't understand ur question. sepsis is infection on the blood. what do you mean by leaking out of the patient? patient can die of sepsis if the immune system is very low and the antibiotic is not strong enough to fight the sepsis. how lonG? it depends on the response and prognosis of the patient. Yes, if not treated appropriately & efficiently, with in weeks. |
