Sepsis...... Is this something serious? I was reading that its a blood infections, is this something really? |
deadly????? I have no idea?? Its a personal question not related to school at all, a family member has it and I was trying to figure out if he was going to make it through the night or some information on it. I read wikipedia but I was looking for something a little more personal or experiences? Sepsis is very serious. It can cause wide spread organ damage. Can cause "Septic Shock" where the blood pressure is critically low. Sepsis is bacteria or some other type of organism in the blood. Must be treated with the appropiate antibiotic through the IV. It really helps to have a great doctor or practitioner who picks up on the signs and symptoms very quickly and starts the necessary treatment. Sepsis is serious. and t has a 60% mortality rate. Some people might pull through but those with weaken immune systems usually dont make it. It causes multiple organ failure and then death if it cant be combated. If this relative is very close maybe you should go to the hospital if you can. |
