Sepsis is a medical term for an infection in the blood stream. m Infection may be caused by virus. bacteria, fungi, and/or parasite. In this, it is caused by a bacteria under the Genus Clostridia. The bacterial species under this genus, are known to be spore-former, like the anthrax bacteria. Bacteria with spores have the reputation to be more difficult to treat. To find out which is the best antibiotic drug to treat the infection: first, identify the species of Clostridia thru a bacterial culture; then, request a sensitivity testing. Both methods should be available in hospital/clinical laboratories.
