How likely is it that an infected piercing will lead to t.s.s. or sepsis? |
i've just finished round #2 of antibiotics (for infected nipple piercings), and the breast tissue is still VERY sore. I am experiancing pain up through my armpits and sporadic flashes of pain in my arms and hands. they did lab analysis on pus from the wound, and said it was just a "regular" skin-bacteria infection...if it were anything more serious, would those tests have showed it? I am quite concerned. I would say not very likely. You pierced very sensitive skin, of course it won't heal as quickly. It would have shown if it were more serious. Don't panic. Give it time. If it's still like that in a month, go back to the doc. |
