My dad gets urinary tract infections quite seriously, may be urinary sepsis?

can anyone tell me how to help him, he sometimes gets the shakes & disoriented & feels he is falling & has had about 4 falls in the past year.

Sepsis is usually very fast-acting, with the patient going from feeling okay to literally near death within hours -- my father almost died several times with sepsis attacks before his urinary tract problems were fixed.

Sadly, a couple of these incidents were because the ER staff didn't take my father seriously when he told them what was going on -- one even knocked him out with Valium!!!

The best way to help him is to get him to the ER when this is happening. Be sure to emphasize the urinary tract infection history.

He needs the care of a physician.Cranberry juice made from fresh cranberries is good and lots of water. Also UTI's can be transmitted sexually if that matters.

how old is your dad? does he have a catheter? if so, uti"s are common in that. shakes can be a sign of parkingsons disease or it could be a light stroke
