Ovarian cyst untreated?

okay, i went to the hospital this summer for an ovarian cyst and had it drained, if I left it untreated would I go into sepsis shock?

the fluid of most cyst are re-absorbed by the body, but there are numerous types of cyst, that plus your medical history and current complications are best suited for your current health care provider to answer and proceed with appropriate treatment!

I had a cyst that my doctor refused to do anything about. Said it wasn't serious. Two days later, it had ruptured. I was in tremendous pain for about thirty minutes. I don't know about sepsis shock, but I do know, left untreated, they can rupture.
