Semen allergies! help? |
I just found out I'm allergic yo my boyfriends semen, any contact with it on my skin results in a red, blotchy, burning rash. [I did reasearch] It depends on the person. Some women are allergic to proteins that are common to all semen; others are allergic only to one person's semen. At this point, presuming that you're not trying to become pregnant, a condom is your first, best defense. I'd definitely contact an gynecologist and/or allergist NOW, whether or not you're trying to become pregnant; the sooner you start getting desensitized to these protein (especially if they are the ones that EVERYBODY has), the better things will be for you. Sounds like you need to do more "research" ;) get it checked out...could be sexually transmitted disease... Go see a doctor. It is unlikely that you are allergic to all semen. We actually had a few cases like yours in the allergy clinic where I was a nurse. In the cases I have seen, it's only been with one specific partner. He should wear a condom during any sexual contact. It may also help for you to take Zyrtec a few hours before you have sex. |
