Are you currently using a all natural approach along with pharmaceuticals to treat your Multiple Sclerosis? |
If so, what did you do? Have you tried LDN, vibrational medicine, a sulfur/selenium? How did that method effect you? Did it held any symptoms? Please share your knowledge with me! I am currently on LDN and it has given me back my life. I now have the energy to garden again and to lead a very physically active life. After my first five days on the drug I noticed my energy levels were very much improved. After four months I felt as I did before I came down with MS. I have very little tingling and loss of balance. The only thing the LDN has not improved is my optic neuritis. Prior to this I was on Copaxone which supposedly decreases the the number of exercerbations. I had absolutely no motivation or energy while I was on it and I also had many flare-ups. I also have found that eating a well-balanced diet and eliminating fats has made a major improvement in how I feel. I swim twice a week and that has definitely also helped. I would never take Copaxone again and I have read too many derogatory remarks about the interferons to consider them. I also have many friends who have taken the interferons for protracted periods. They have all suffered physically as a result and have serious medical problems as a result. Not too mention the depression and flu like syptoms they suffer. Yes, multiple sclerosis is different for everyone so what makes the doctors think that only four drugs will help everyone? That is not possible. The MS society is dependent for a great potion of their finances on the pharmaceutical companies that manufacture the standard FDA approved drugs and they are not about to bite the hand that feeds them. I applaud your proactive stance in pursuing a HEALTHY approach to your own treatment. Kudos!!! I wish you much luck in finding a course of treatment that works for you. Fresca, you do know that everyone's MS is different as their rx to meds, and alternatives. Carefully search out your facts with National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. THEN continue your search with WELL KNOWN alternative sources. Join A local support group (mine has several taking alternative therapies), join MSWORLD for support. I presume you are a woman - join us at MSWOMEN on Yahoo. If you are in your 20's I understand there is a Yahoo 20 something MS group. |
