Seizures??? |
My neice is epileptic and has been on numerous medications since she was about 3. She kept having the seizures and eventually she "unresponsive" to anything. She has to be fed and shows no signs of emotion. This is very traumatic on my sister. Rileys children hospital in my opinion have done little except put her on drugs and then take her off. My sister wants her little girl back and we all miss little Amber. Any opinions on what may help her? My neice has had many CT, but since she has stopped "responding" she has not. The doctors have said that it is to her consent only, so we are assuming that there is no need for further except for a diagnosis... Encourage your sister to move forward with the ct scan and/or an MRI. Her daughter may be suffering from some very treatable condition (e.g., a cyst or tumor) which could only be diagnosable with these sorts of brain imaging techniques. It is important that she not delay this diagnostic procedure. It could make all the difference for her daughter. |
