Seizures in sleep?

I think I have seizures in my sleep but I am not sure. I experience shaking sometimes when im concious and when I wake up I am very sore and its not the sore feeling you get from sleeping wild, its more of an all around sore feeling ecspecially in my upper areas and in my joints. Could this be seizures in the sleep? and what are symptoms of sleep seizures?

if you do have seizures, then yes. those may possibly be seizures in your sleep. i am assuming you have a seizure disorder since you seem to know the feeling post-ictal(after seizure). also, you may feel "cloudy" upon waking.
If you haven't been diagnosed yet, please ask your doctor to refer you to a neurologist or epileptologist.
I am not going to diagnose you BUT in my "opinion"...
i think you may have a certain type of seizure disorder. Its called simple partial seizures. these seizures happen when you a fully aware that they are happening. it happens in a small part of the brain as opposed to grand mals which occurs in all parts of the brain at the same time, therefore affecting every part fo the body.
simple partial seizures can happen while awake and also while asleep.
there are symptoms...

While awake some common symptoms of simple partial seizures are:

* preserved consciousness
* sudden and inexplainable feelings of fear, anger, sadness, or nausea
* experience of unusual feelings or sensations
* altered sense of hearing, smelling, tasting, seeing, and tactile perception (sensory illusions and/or hallucinations), or feeling as though the environment is not real or detachment from the environment (depersonalization)
* deja vu (familiarity) or jamais vu (infamiliarity)
* laboured speech or inability to speak at all
* amnesia around the seizure event and sometimes events which occurred before the seizure

While asleep symptoms include:

* onset usually in REM sleep
* dream like state
* appearance of full consciousness
* hallucinations and/or delusions
* behavior or visions typical in dreams
* ability to engage with the environment and other people as in full consciousness, though often behaving abnormally, erratically, or failing to be coherent
* complete amnesia or assimilating the memory as though it was a normal dream on regaining full consciousness

In my opinion, you dont have to have all of these symptoms to have had a simple partial seizure.
i know this sounds morbid, but go ont you tube and type in "partial seizures" or "seizures".

I copied the "symptoms" from wikipedia.
the rest of the info is what i know about simple partial seizures.
if you think you have it, i implore you to have it checked out because even though the physical aspects do not affect you daily life like grand mals and other seizures that impair you ability to do daily tasks, aNY seizure that happens affects your brain short-term and long-term. so a med needs to stop this abnormal brain activity or it will cause brain damage ro the seizures could get worse. : (

good luck! and call your doctor today. only you knows your body!

i know im kindof jumping ahead here but if you do have seizures i would recomend going on the kiajenic diet (im not sure how to spell it but it sounds like key-a-jen-ic diet) and its this really old thing but it was the only thing that stoped my seizures without it i would have died. so if last resorts come i would definitly go find an old doctor who knows of it, it works wonders!

sorry i just found the right spelling for u- its ketogenic diet

If you think you may have seizures, you need to see a doctor. Seizures while you sleep aren't real common, but they do happen. There are tests that can be run to determine if you are having seizures.

I have had a history of siezures .
The one thing that would hit me and tell me about seizures during the night is that I would wake up with headaches.
