Epileptic seizures change brain?

Can multiple (10) epileptic seizures change the brain? IQ and abilities? In the last ten years, I have had that many seizures. I used to be a really good writer, that was my profession. Now, I cannot write and have a terrible vocabulary compared with before. Can this happen?

It has taken my consultant 8 yrs to get my medication right, but before that i was having seizures sometimes 3 a day,and now the tegretol are working i don't have them anymore, but i do things a lot slower now,i don't know if its the damage caused by the seizures or the medication, but i would never stop taking my medication to find out,(that scares me).

I have those too. I would also like to know the answer. I'm in high school and I don't want my grades to be affected by this.
