To those who have seizures or know someone who dose?

When you would go into a real bad seizure would you black out and sometimes walk around for minutes of the time and after that seizure was over did it also take you a few days to recover from it?

The reason I ask this is because I myself have seizures and this is how I feel after I have one of my real bad seizures that I have maybe about three times a month.
Because most of the time my seizures are only a few seconds and I can't even begin to tell you how many of those I have a day and to top it off I'm on three different types of meds.

I have been with several people who have had a seizure in my presence. As a result I have had the chance to speak with them and neurologists about the experience.

Grand mal seizures do cause the sufferer to black out and the theory behind that is that the discharge of all the neurons at once or in clusters cause severe muscle spasms that cause the person to black out, loose consciousness. These seizures do take at least a couple of days to get over and I've read that the persons are sore and stiff. (Probably because their muscle spasms acted like an extreme work-out)

Petite mal seizures cause loss of time to the sufferer, but to the observer the person is either "lost in thought", daydreaming, or just "spaced-out". The person experiencing petite mal can also appear to be on auto-pilot. Driving is a definite no-no.

There is a seizure pattern called temporal lobe seizure. This causes the person to feel as if there is someone with them, a presence they can not explain. This particular seizure pattern causes some controversy. It is thought to cause some types of paranoia, mystical experiences, etc.

The mind/brain is complex and most interesting. Hope these insights help.

My friend had horrible seizures they would last for up to 30 min she blacks out and takes about 2 days for her to fully recover the drs. could not find anything wrong to account for these we did some reseach and have discovered she is having reaction to aspertame(artificial sweetener) she quit the aspetame no more seizuress. feel free to email me i will tell you more of her symptoms.
