Pseduo seizures? |
I was born with reuglar seizures. From the time I was about a teenager I started to have pseudo seizures which are fake seizures. I am trying to get it undercontrolled and my psychaitrist thinks that therpay with a counslor will help? Has it helped any of you with this problem? I've treated it before and it's a dissociative symptom, usually diagnosed as a Somatoform Disorder. Therapy really is the treatment of choice for dissociative symptoms and disorders as meds have little impact. Often the symptoms start as a response to trauma, so I'm wondering if there was something that happened to you which triggered their onset? seweqr You need to get the therapy you need to address this immediately. This kind of conversion disorder can lead to far, far more serious problems. There are people with conversion disorder that are in a continuous or frequent state of catatonia. |
