Wellbutrin and seizures - what happens if I take it just once then stop? Can I get a seizure? |
My doctor put me on these antidepressants called Wellbutrin, however I have heard that they make it harder to sleep at night. for this reason, I would like to try just one then discontinue them if it turns out that they significantly impair my ability to sleep. I have been on and off Wellbutrin for a couple of years. I have never had the experience that it gives me trouble sleeping. It may give you some energy, so I suggest taking it in the morning. That comes from a sudden stoping of ant depressants if they have been in you're system regularly (taking them everyday for awhile). antidepressants usually take awhile to start working though. if you don't like them, your doc will have a safe plan to wean you off. I have been taking them for approximately 3 weeks now. Just one isn't going to cause a seizure. But, you will need to take it at least 2 weeks to see if it will help you. For the first 2 weeks, you might have some side effects like a little dizziness, nausea or insomnia. Nothing is going to be that serious. You will be able to work, go to school or whatever you do when you first start it. Most people take it without any problems. If you are unsure about taking wellbutren then don't chance it talk to your doc and tell them you don't want to take that brand and why? They will give you something else to try their are thousands out there.. |
