I keep having seizures its driving me nuts can anyone help?

i keep having Complex Partial and absence Seizures. its driving me nuts and my mum , i havn't had any sleep for 3 days now, i'm ratty and have angry out burst and i feel my days just keep getting wierder and stranger by the hour, and i'm doing strange things like the other day i put my cig's in the freezer and i can't remember doing it , i only relise that they were there when i went to cook my dinner.

before you say go to the doctors i can't because i'm trying to get dianosed with epilepsy at the moment and they've ask for me to keep a seizure dairy and i'm not on any med's yet , so can any one help me?

by the way i'm not a hypocondract , i have autism and epilepsy runs in my dads side of the family too. and as some people may well know autism and epilepsy are linked.

Tell your doctor you want an appointment for an EEG. This will determine if you have epilepsy and things will start moving alot quicker from there on. My son was taking tonic clonic seizures weekly and the doctor advised us that it sounds like breath holding syndrome, but I wasn't happy about this and he made an appointment with the neuro, which was in three months time. The next week he took another seizure, we took him to A&E, and refused to go home until we saw a neuro. We really had to dig our heels in, but we did see one and he told us to go in for an EEG the next morning. We did, not alot showed up, so they then gave him a portable EEG to wear at home for 24hrs which to our surprise showed up quite alot. He was then diagnosed with Myoclonic Astatic Epilepsy which is quite rare and very difficult to control, and affects development. After alot of trial and error with meds, his many different types of seizures are now under control and he is doing great.
So you just push for what you are entitled to, the anxiety and frustration could be making your seizures worse.
There are lots of different meds out there and I'm sure you will find one that suits you and makes life happier.

P.S. Seizure diaries play a very important part in diagnosing which type of epilepsy you have.

I have seizure disorder too. My doctor told me that depression is linked to it, which I also have. I didn't know about the autism. Hang in there. Hopefully you won't have to keep your journal much longer and will get to see the doc to get some medicine.

Have you tried relaxation techniques to help with your stress...stress can make seizure worse . It must be very frustrating for you having to wait but if you write all this down in your seizure diary hopefully you will get the correct meds soon. It can be a bit of a slow process but it will be worth it in the end . Good luck.
