Psychogenic Non-epileptic seizures?

I have been diagnosed with these type of seizures.Although they are NOT epileptic in nature, they ARE real seizures that are just as dangerous! Anybody else suffer from these?Have you had a doctor accuse you of faking to get attention?

That's got to suck!

The mind is a weird thing and I've heard of people getting seizures in stressful or unexpected situations because they couldn't handle it.

I don't suffer from them myself but I do know what it's like to have a doctor accuse you of trying to get attention or misdiagnose you. as a child, a specialist in child psychology thought he recognised some symptoms of autism-related diagnoses, but I couldn't be on the spectrum because my grades at school were too good - Right, that's why 11 years later I did get diagnosed with ASD (PDD-NOS) after all.

Get another doctor, I'd say! One who'll take you seriously, because this one won't help if you're in trouble because of the seizures, he'll think you're just faking.
