Has anyone ever started having seizures?

I know somebody who is about to have brain surgery for epilepsy. It's been about 9 years since they started having their partial seizures, coincidentally around the same time they started smoking POT everyday... The person quit pot last year for several months and it didn't seem to effect their seizures, so it really seems like a coincidence. The person has a brain lesion. The first partial seizure was noticed when the pot used to "kick in" to get high. Partial seizures used to only occur when the person used to smoke pot so they though it was all part of getting high.
Confusing, but has this happend to anyone else?

Yeah, this person has gone through everything, thats why they are going to have BRAIN SURGERY at Mayo clinic. The doctors even know about the weed. But i'm just wondering if anyone else has smoked weed for 10 years and developed a brain lesion or something similar because it.

Yes, you can just start having seizures for various medical reasons, including allergies to certain foods. If you are having sudden seizures, you need to seek the advice of an MD immediately, this could be a serious problem. Everytime a person has a seizure, it kills brain cells.

My brother started having seizures as associated with epilepsy after smoking weed and drinking heaps. He could go months without having a seizure and then after a big night out (or in) he'd then have another one. They obviously kill brain cells and if you already have an epilepsy tendency and just don't know about it the reaction to pot must trigger them.
I guess many of us could have these tendencies but they're not triggered as it was in your friend and my brother.
I wish your friend all the best.
