Seizures from Fire Alarms...anyone with similiar problem, knowledge of symptoms?

i have seizures when I hear fire alarms. After these seizures (grand mal) i am unable to speak for 1min-6 hours. when i speak, i sound like a babbling baby. i have had numerous...about 4 EEGs, 3 EKGs and there is still no answer. Perhaps someone has similar symptoms or knows something about this medical problem. My insurace and my doctors suck. Maybe you will have some advice.

I was thinking maybe it is Long QT Syndrome (through tedious searching online)

is it just the sound or are you in anyway exposed to the flashing lights? They make me feel odd and I even have to be careful about strobe effects on television programs. I have never heard an auditory induced seizure disorder, I would be looking more towards a cardiac related issue, and see if that might be the issue. You need to see a neurologist, not just a plain doctor, and if there is a neurological institute like Barrows in Phoenix near you, I would get a referral to them. You need an expert to sort things out.

I know flashing lights can cause grand mal seizures. I havent heard of loud noises doing it before but you never know I guess. Has your doctor put you on anti seizure meds? If not, that would be my suggestion.
