I have petite mal seizures and have been getting about 5 days where I have them.?

I have petite mal seizures, and I'll get about 5 days where I have a seizure, then about 13 days where I don't have any.. I take medicine for them..Any Ideas why I'm having these "5 day spells?"

Hormone cycles could play a role. Also, I recently read a study in which people who at a special diet reduced their seizure activity by 70 % or more if I remember correctly. I think it was a modified Atkins type diet. Therefore, it is possible that you are eating something every so often that triggers a cyclical type seizure activity. aha, I just found one of the links on this topic and pasted the site.
