Secondhand smoke affecting others ?

This is out of sheer curiosity , but what is the affect of secondhand smoking in the following circumstances :

My mother smoked all throughout her pregnancy with me , all through out my child hood, and up until i moved out of home at the age of 18. My dad also smoked for the whole duration . Does this mean i have basically been smoking for 18 years since i breathed in their secondhand smoke constantly , and if so, what kind of damage could it have done, if any ?

and i am now 26 years old , so i have been smoke-free for 8 years now, would that reverse the affects of the second hand smoke .

I'm not blaming my mum or dad for smoking or anything like that, i just thought about it the other day , and my sisters and i were laughing at the fact that we'd been smoking since before we were born lmao ... and now i'm curious to know for real .

Thanks in advance for the info :-)

I have never smoked a day in my life, only breathed in the secondhand smoke .

Nothing is going to reverse the effects of second hand smoke.
Thanks to INCONSIDERATE people.
It sounds like you had the same thing with 2nd hand smoke as I did. I am 36.
I have read that second hand smoke is bad since the smoke is unfiltered. Some people that have never smoked have gotten lung cancer and emphysema.
So if you're able to stay away from INCONSIDERATE smokers do it. Thats a hard thing to do these days.
But yup....you pretty much have been smoking along with them.
I know my lungs would be better if I would've never second hand smoked in my life.

Secondhand smoke is very bad for you !!! .

it better if you smoke or so if go out , every one is smokeing around you !!.

i think second hand smoke is worse than smoking cuz at least when your smoking theres a filter between you and the smoke..

Second hand smoke is not nearly as damaging as the news and media would have you believe. You're fine.
