How harmful can secondhand smoke from marijuana be to pets? |
I dont mean blowing it directly in their face, but just in general, if they happened to be around it, how harmful can it be? I know that secondhand cigarette smoke can cause pet cancer. I have been reading about cancer in pets and it states that secondhand smoke of any kind can cause cancer in animals, however it did not specify cigarette or what type of smoke. I know that different types of smoke can cause health problems. I have a funny story.... it's harmful...don't smoke it my cats love it..they act weird but i haven't had any problems. Not harmful Dont think it will. It鈥檒l affect neurologically the pet鈥?it could affect movements, reactions鈥?and even their smell sense鈥?/div> as critical as it is 2 u Every pet I have owned has never been affected by it health wise. The do get stoned too though. i doubt that any hip cats would mind a hit of weed. after all they adore catnip. i have seen pets climb up on couches when people were smoking up just to get closer to the smoke Unlike cigarettes, marijuana is not processed for shelf life. It is no worse for them than smoke from a bbq. It's as harmful to pets as it is to ANY BREATHING Creature... Just like marajuana is harmful to people, its harmful to pets too. On the Discovery Channel (or at least I think it was) they had this program call "Bugs on Drugs" in which scientists would let various insects be around marajuana smoke. One spider made its web all messed up and similar things happened to other bugs. Even though you may have a larger pet than perhaps a spider, yes, the smoke is just as, if not worse for pets. you have to put them in a box or bag or something and then blow the smoke into the box. otherwise, it's too diluted. if it ain't harmful to us, how harmful could it be to them? |

Well, common sense tells you it won't do you any good. As far as harm done, you will have a hell of a time getting the truth. All the studies on it have been biased one way or the other to mee... well it is true the child would end up with health problems such as lungs and breathing problems and it is more danger on the child than the one who is smoking. ...Yes, ...NO...That's propaganda! Second hand smoke never hurt anyone other than the smell. It hasn't hurt people for years it's just the bastard non-smokers trying to ruffle a few feathers. I... i think it is REALLY that bad for you. consider this--you're in a car pool with 3 other people. its winter and you're the only non-smoker in the car. its so cold that people only wan... Smokers are affected. Its actually more lethal to smoke than from second hand smoke. But second hand smoke is also unhealthy. I don't know who told you second hand smoke is more lethal but ... becuase it doesnt go through the filter! ...If it bothers you so much, then why is this person your fiancee? I hate when non smokers marry, or plan to marry smokers, then all of a sudden their smoking becomes a problem. Let me tell you my ... |
