Risk of drug test failure from secondhand pot smoke?

does anyone know what kind of concentration one can get from secondhand pot smoke? at a friend's birthday party, someone i dont know lit up and started smoking pot so i got freaked out and went in another room, and after awhile i could smell it so i went outside, then after awhile of being in and out, but not really smellig it, i decided to just go home. the reason i got freaked out is because i was just told by a prospective employer that if they want me it will be subject to passing a drug test. that's why i got away as much as i could cause i didnt want to take any chances. the concentration to fail the test is usually 50 ng/ml and when retesting for confirmation it only has to be 15 ng/ml. If you can smell something, it's already in you (that's how smelling works in the first place) so what kind of concentration is that kind of exposure likely to cause?

A little secondhand pot smoke is not enough to show up in a drug test. Unless you were hotboxing it like Cheech and Chong in Up in Smoke.

None, it takes a lot more for it to show up..And they test for opiates, none in pot only THC

It just depends on how much was ingested. You shouldn't be hanging around people who smoke pot if you get random drug tested at work

It sounds as if your exposure was minimal. If you still have time you might try to flush out your system by drinking lots of water and doing some exercise. Although that would normally not help in your case I think it's worth a try.
If the worst happens explain it to your employer and ask for the test to be redone or try to reassure them by saying they can do a random test at another time.

look ur ok... there is now way that you will fail the test for brething it in....the thing is that u need to actually inhale it and it needs to flow into ur digestive stream .... u probably breathed in 50 ml but after it goes through ur body the test wont even pick it up

First of all, I DESPISE when people at parties decide to just light up in front of all sorts of random people.

Second, if anything does show up on the test at all, it would be in very small amounts, obviously, much less than had you actually been smoking. It should be pretty obvious by the results that you weren't, and were just around it.

Then again, I guess I wouldn't really know, but, that seems about right to me.
