What do you think about secondhand smoke?

Is it just as bad as smoking yourself?

I agree with milwoodsgal. And, second hand smoke should definately take a backseat to the drugs being used by people and damaging their brains. Meth cookers cooking with the kids in the house is also a huge concern.

I think you'd have to be in a closed environment and have to have exposure after exposure to really be affected by it. I can walk down town and get mouthfuls of exhaust from vehicles and I think that's as bad.

Studies have proven that.That's why many states have banned smoking in public places.

yes,i know someone that now has lung cancer because one her friends smoked and she hung around her alot.Defintaly the same as if you smoked yourself!

It's actually worse. Since you don't breathe out the smoke when it's second hand. So smokers get it double time.

Yes it is just as bad. The only difference is that you were not the one who puffed on the cigarette. You let someone else do it for you. You inhaled their waste.

as an ex smoker i feel bad for doing it previously because if someone smokes around me i have to move, being on both sides of this i beleive passive smoking is'nt as bad but you still get some in your lungs which is'nt good either.

YES IT IS SOME SAY TWICW AS BAD BECAUSE IT'S SECOND HAND SMKOE. SECOND HAND SMOKE CAN HARM LOVE ONE AND EVEN YOU PETS BELIEVE IT OR NOT PEOPLE CAN CATCH LUNG CANCER FROM 2ND HAND SMOKE.

I prefer my smoke first-hand. Second-hand smoke does nothing to stop my cigarette cravings.

They say it is. I have a friend who smokes. She tries to keep it from me, but if she is even near I can smell it. I
am very alergic to cigarette smoke. Even at barbecues I have
terrible sneezing and teary eye when I am far away from the
barbecue pit.

I think it's annoying as hell, and that clean people should be more assertive in insisting that smokers refrain from dirtying the environment we all share, be it with smoke, butts, or discarded packs.

Yes,it is because if you keep smelling it alot then you can be sick.
