If I inhaled secondhand pot smoke, will it still show up on a drug test?

And if it does.....how do I avoid this? I did not smoke, and yet I am applying at casinos for employment. They most definitely do drug screening.
I understand that it takes a full month to get out of my system, but I cannot wait that long. I need a job now.

Are there any home remedies to help flush it out of my system quicker?

It really would depend on how strong the secondhand smoke was (would have to be an insane ammout)...... I have friends who've passed their tests, and they were around second hand smoke all the time...... Check into something called Sonne's No.7 (it's an excellent detoxificant).

Also, you'll clean out much faster than a month, being that it's second hand smoke. Weight is a factor, too. The heavier you are, the longer you will take to clean out.......

One more thing. Unlike Steve F said, there are some things out there that will help you to pass a drug test (I've mentioned one of them, above). I agree with Steve F, for the most part, though. Drink plenty of water, and don't buy anything that says it will "mask" a drug test. All those products do is color your pee, so that it doesn't appear diluted, due to the ammount of water they have you drink.

Exercising is another good way to help flush those "toxins" out of your body :-)

To finish things off, I just wanna say that I don't think you'll have any problem passing the test, at all. I say this, because chances are good that you didn't inhale the HUGE ammount of second hand pot smoke that it would take, to fail (or show positive for........)

Yes it will because second hand smoke reacts to your body and mind just like you inhaled the drug yourself. Also drugs can stay in your system for up to 30 days so you may want to put off that drug test a for a month. I would suggest go ask your physcian for help also.

It will but not as bad. So it may not be a big deal. Just say you were at a concert or something. They can tell if it was second hand or actually inhaled. By the amount.

I told my counsler I had been around people that had been smoking pot and the second hand smoke must have gotten in my system. They told me no way could second hand smoke cause a drug test to read positive.

No, it will not show up. Unless by second hand you mean a clam bake in a car with the windows rolled up, and even then. An incidental user who would happen to have some in his or her system will usually test negative in three days if no more is consumed. A heavy user (daily or several times / week) would take approximately a month. All of the stuff they sell to supposedly trick tests are crap. The only thing they do is trick you into consuming massive quantities of fluid, which dilutes the urine and the mg/cc concentration of the drug. You can do that on your own by drinking plenty of fluids, water specifically. To avoid it, which was your question, quit hanging out with smokers while they smoke.

It's possible that it may show up on a drug test. To be safe, try flushing your system. I'd reccomend mixing apple cider vinegar with cranberry juice [both are good for cleaning out your system, vinegar is better, so add as much as possible] and drinking as much of it as possible in the days leading up to your drug tests. Also, exercise as much as your can- THC [the active ingredient in pot that shows up on tests] is stored in fat cells. If you are burning your fat cells while flushing your system, it cleans you out more effectively. DONT trust any teas or mixes marketed for passing drug tests. They are hardly effective.
