Okay, is milk seriously worse than secondhand smoke?!? |
My friend said that, and it totally pissed me off cuz I drink it all of the time. The question is not entirely answerable. For one thing, the quantities of both the milk and the second-hand smoke would have to be determined. Obviously, drinking 5 gallons of milk in a n hour long period would be far worse than the secondhand smoke from one cigarette. But even assuming resonable levels of both, there has been little real study on the health effects of milk, and studies on second-hand smoke rarely reach generally accepted statistical significance, despite what many people believe. No. nov thats y it was on the wattafixup adds i thought milk was good for you uuhhh.... no. Only if you inhale it Milk is good for you. Second had smoke may not be but it has been so overhyped it totally ignores second hand automobile exhaust, industrial particulate, and second hand stress, which is a real killer. No!!!! That's what the tobacco companies used to tell people way back when. Milk is good for you, secondhand smoke is not. And, I believe that there is a commercial on tv that says that, one of those wuddafxup things with the corky black dude with a big fro. milk is good for you...someone has been watching WAY TOO much t.v. and goofy commercials. (otherwise a LOT of 'us' would be dead now...I'm a long time milk drinker...) I really wish I could drink milk all the time. Lactose intolerant here. No, never, and in no circumstance will milk ever be worse for you than second hand smoke - it builds strong bones and is not made of highly toxic and deadly chemicals Your friend is loony. no milk is good for you and for your bones you need the calcium, tell your girlfriend get lost. Second hand smoke is bad for everyone's health. Milk is only bad for you if you drink too much of it. Otherwise it is very healthy, especially skim milk. Whole milk, 1% or skim. Whole milk is high is saturated fat but still is a good source of vitamins and protein. Bluntly, your friend is an idiot. Sure I guess perhaps big commercial dairly milk has things in it that it shouldn't. But nothing worse than what is any of your other foods if you aren't carefully selecting organic. Organic cow's milk, while perhaps not perfect in digestibility, is a perfect food nutritionally. My granny lived to be 96 and she swore by 3 glasses of milk a day. On the other hand, a gal I worked with died of lung cancer in her 50s and had never smoked a single ciggie all her life. But her husband puffed like a frieght train. No, your friend is full of baloney. It was what tobacco companies said a long time ago to convince you that second hand smoke wasn't that bad. The commercials on Mtv visited a milk farm and interviewed a farmer who was completely outraged and said that was not true. At the end of the ad it shows a cut sign with the words whatdafxup. Your friend is screwing you over it isn't true. He may just be making a pun on you! Or maybe your friend is an idiot! people saying that second hand smoke kills. what about the ****** smokers that get 1st and 2nd hand smoke, anyways....second hand milk may be worse than second hand smoke. at least in my book Yeah, those farms where they milk cows are dangerous places, if you walk in without wearing a mask all those Milk vapours will knock you dead. Milk isn't worse for your body than secondhand smoke, it's actually good for you because it has calcium. It was advertised in tobacco commercials in 1996 but had no truth to back it up. No. Second hand smoke is much worse than milk. YES. At one point in America milk was going to be exposed for all it's negative worth. There is a deadly culture in milk that may cause death, although many precautions are taken to ensure quality, but when ingested it can cause death. Now, a little history lesson, ever wonder why some people generally, people of color can not drink milk with getting an upset stomache? Ever wonder that? Given throughout the years of cultural blending, many previous cultures did not have a milk cow one. Therefore the Genetic-lineage of many people do not have the adequate stomache bacteria to fight milk(lactose'). Overall, yes milk is more deadly, because second-hand smoke takes recourse and a bad batch of milk can take your life, instantly. Does your friend smoke? Milk is not worse than second hand smoke! She is totally ridiculous. Unless there is an allergy or the milk is sour, I do believe she needs to get her story straight.Good idea of yours-keep on drinking your milk and stay away from any cigarette smoke. She definitely needs to be educated on proper nutrition and the terrible effects of second hand smoking, which is considered worse than smoking it yourself. Good for you! Stay with the milk drinking. |
