What effect does secondhand marijuana smoke have on toddlers?

I've heard that a friend drives around smoking weed with her 2 year old daughter in the car.

Then your friend can't be a very good mother, 1 for driving with her in the car while on drugs, 2 for letting her breathe the smoke in, which will get into her bloodstream, and 3 for even doing it, it's so bad for her but if she wants to do it, and put herself at risk for mental illnesses then that's up to her, but to subject a child to it is awful

Lets say you are in a closed room with some friends and you arent smoking but they are then you have the possibility of getting what is often refered to as a contact high. Just as if you had been smoking.

First off, Marijuana does not cause mental illness. The child can catch a contact high but there will be no long term effects from it. She is actually abusing the child by exposing her to drugs. You should talk to this friend and express your concern for the welfare of the child If she chooses to do drugs when she is not caring for the child then that is her business, she makes that choice for herself, but she is not giving her child a choice and that is wrong.

seconhand marijuana smoke can have many of the same effects as secondhand tobaaco smoke. The childs lungs can be injured. not to mention the fact that this women is driving while high and putting many others at risk.

If your friend refuses to stop doing this around the child child protective services should be called.

ok idont do drugs so im not sure but m boyfriend use to smoke weed and alot of his friends do and when hes around them he says he just gets hungery but still u should expose a child to that kinda s***
and that gurl need to go to a parenting class and stop smoking weed
