Why is a ban on smoking o.k.?

Plenty of substances cause liver, lung, heart damage are sold without i.d. and are proven to kill and harm, coffee, caffine, pills over the counter.
Plenty of people know the danger of the concept of smoking, it is listed on every package.
Secondhand smoke is truely no worse then carfumes, glade plug ins, chemicals we place on our crops cause cancer and people do not lobby to rid ourselves those things....most people do not read the labels on thier food or cleaning supplies so they do not know the dangers posed by most of thier everyday products....but smoking is this horrible scapegoat for people to complain about.
I've had less secondhand smoke while in europe then the everyday car fumes I'm forced to endure on my way to work and oddly everywhere in europe allows smoking!

It isn't ok, their are so many carcinogens. The chemicals use to make car interiors, the chemicals used on your carpets. Cancer can come from so many souses. Every your radiator in your car is filled with a cancer causing agent, and when your heater core goes out your exposed to it in gas form .Cigarettes are a victim in this case and so are their smokers. The second hand smoke issue is just a tool to get smokers out of sight

i absolutely agree with you and they should have a ban on weapons! how many people are killed everyday by guns??

At least if they kill theirself smoking it is there choice-innocnet people even small chridren are killed all the time in drive by shootings---if we have the right to bare arms we should ahve the right to smoke without being harrassed to the extreme.
