Does ovarian cysts need second opinion? |
November ultrasound 3.3x1.9x3.3 septated cyst left ovary. One Month later December ultrasound 4.4x2.5x4.2 septated cyst left ovary. Put on Loestrin 24 FE for almost three months. March ultrasound 5.9x2.9x5.9 septated cyst left ovary. Now they gave me a CA-125 blood test (waiting for results) and want me to stop Loestrin 24 FE pills for two months. Then come back for another ultrasound in May. Do you think I should get a second opinion? CT or MRI Scan? Not sure what to think? in a gynae nurse and i can tell you that you dont need a CT or MRI, people put up with cysts for ages, if it becomes problematic or painful then go see your doc or A&E.., they can just rupture and you may not even know about it, chances are though, as it's growing, you'll probably have to go in for a laporoscopy to remove it..its a simple procedure.. Update. I had my ovary(too bad to save) & cyst removed. I had a severe case of endometriosis. My other ovary was also fused to abdominal wall, bowels, and uterus. They were able for the time being to save that one. I will probably need everything else removed in the next couple years Report It I'll give that Ovarian Cyst a second opinion, what does he need advice in again? Are the cysts causing you pain? Im sorry i am not familiar with Loestrin , but i had cysts on my ovaries and they just removed them. When they removed them they also left one small one becasue they said it would desolve on its own which i guess it did as i never had any more problems. |
