Should i go for a second opinion??? |
I had a car accident last friday and my bag and neck only seem to get worse. It hurts so badly I can't even concentrate in school (i'm forcing myself to go, because it's my final year). I went to the doc (who was a trainee) who gave me diclofenac, but it only works relieves the pain slightly, so it doesn't really help at all. Should I go for a second opinion? or should I just ask for stronger painkillers? If you think you need a second opinion then get one. Getting stronger painkillers only masks the problem and you may be worse off in the long run. I would be going for the second opinion personally. Hope you feel better soon. painkillers just hide the problem , get a second opinion, you will be sore for a couple of days anyway because of the shock your body went through in the accident. good luck and try a hot tub Most muscle pain from a car accident is treated with pain killers, muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatories. Hopefully, they told you that for 3 days after the accident, you are going to get worse and worse (because of increasing muscle tightness and pain) before the healing process starts. After that, each day will get slightly better and better. Sounds like you need a little more medication added to your regimen in order to heal up. Your family doctor could do this for you. Call and get an appointment. definitively go for a second opinion!!! Go with another doctor and explain her/him your situation.. But pick an experienced one, not a trainee!! try a chiropractor, they are great for these types of injuries. You should go for a second opinion IMMEDIATELY. Injury from accident can be much more seriously than most people would thinking of. |
