How do you get a second opinion from another dr??????

it is possible to get a second opinion dr without getting a reference from the dr you have now? the dr i have now doesnt find anything wrong on me and i have xperience i lot of aches... i have acid reflux, my back and my neck constantly hurt and i dont really workout to say that i had hurt myself... this has been on me for years and for some reason i cant get what i need from my doctor... im afiliated with kaiser permanente so any ideas how can i do this????

just ring up and say u would like to speak to a doctor!
if they say ur doctor say is there any other doctor i can speak to! i have done it in the past! i find woman drs bitches where im from!!!! even tho im a girl!! if that all goes **** up change ya surgery!!!! hope it helps

Contact your insurance company and ask them where you can go to get a second opinion (they will pay for it). Otherwise, you can go ANYWHERE to get a second opinion. Get copies of your current maternity records (you should have those anyway) to take with you.

For instance, I have at least 3 different clinic systems in my area. I would just call around and talk to the office nurse whereever you call.

i say deffinately get a second opinion.

if you have bc/bs its possible that all you have to do is look in yellow pages and call whom ever you want. go see him/her for 2nd opinion. i have bc/bs and i have done it. don't tell the new doc. that you want 2nd opinion. don't let left hand know what right hand is doing, as they say.......hope you feel better soon......
