I had a breast ultrasound, should I get a second opinion? |
I went to the clinic today and had a breast ultrasound done on my left breast. They saw nothing and told me I should not be concerned, but go back to my gyno and have him examine me again. If he found something, they would do a biopsy. I have been experiencing pain, numbness in my arms and legs, there is some crustiness on my nipple and it's inverted. Also I feel a burning sensation in my breast sometimes. Should I get a second opinion? I don't want to scare you by any of this, but in June I had testing done and things where looking good in my Breast and as of late last week they discovered the cancer has spread to my liver. So things went really fast! YES! And soon! Yes, I would! yes you should. remember that a breast ultrasound is just one of several screening methods in order to determine whether you might have a problem. aside from a physical by your gynecologist i would advise you to have another breast ultrasound and an x-ray mammogram as well. |
