Sick and need second opinion or just crazy? |
A week and a half/two weeks ago I was having extreme headaches, then last Thursday my throat got very sore, red, and my glands and swollen, soon to follow was the congestion and ick of a cold. Sore muscles, congestion, and just feeling like crap. Late sunday night I noticed signs of a sinus infections so I made an appt and saw the doc Monday afternoon and she gave me antibiotics and a decongestant. Great, fine, its worked in the past. I didn't see much improvement overnight and even had a migraine yesterday (throwing up and all) followed by severe sinus pain, my teeth hurting, dizziness, and overall just completely weak. Now its Wednesday morning and I still feel like my head is going to explode, that I'm gonna pass out and that I'm not any better. Shouldn't I see some improvement by now, or am I psycho? Help Just talked to doc's office and they just want me to finish my antibiotics and come in for a sinus x-ray after my antibiotics r done. Thanks for all ur input. You could seek another opinion if you want. What works for me when I am ill is drinking lots of water and eating apples and bananas. I get better in less than 3 days doing that without taking any medications. Try that and see how you feel. Good Luck! If you dont feel better I would go back to the doctor...in my experience their not always right...do what your instincts tell you. I would think you should be feeling better...not worse...if you feel worse then I would either go to another doctor or go back to the other one and tell him you dont feel better! i think you should go to your doctor again or it could just be a really bad case of allergies. i usually get allergies around this time every year, but this year they were the worst ive ever had and i had a stopped up nose and i was soooo sick for about 2 months! YOU PROB NEED TO CALL YOUR DR BACK AND TELL THEM OF INCREASED PROBLEMS AND THEY MAY NEED TO TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT antibiotics and decongestant don't work on many flu viruses. maybe its a different strain of flu. i'd still suggest that you should see the doctor again or atleast call and let him know whats happening. its never bad to be a patient who asks lots of questions. even some docs appreciate it. hope you get well soon |
