Do I need a second opinion re:depression, that has lead to thoughts of suicide, and unsafe behavior.? |
I was invovlded in anccident about two months ago. I have yet to return to work. My bills are pilling up. I have no money,I have no health insurance. So i have been paying all medical bills out of pocket. I went to the doctor about two weeks ago. I told him about the pain I was still having, my nightmare, and also my depression. He sent me to have a MRI. I have swelling on a couple of discs in my back. He felled to discuse the depression that i have continued to have. When I tried to bring it back up, he changed the subject. Tonight I was pulled over by the police two of my tail lights were out. I did not have my drivers license, or registration, because i just got the vehicle back from the body shop. I also did not have any insurance because i didn't have the money to pay it. So they thowed my car. I walked about ten miles, through a couple of known dangerous areas, and on the interstate to get back to house @1130pm. I am a female, the whole time I was walking I just wanted to die. Here's a few cliches that has helped me when the **** hit the fan. -This too shall pass. --It could be worse. I would give myself ten minutes to cry my heart out and wallow in self-pity. After that I had to find a solution to my problem or find the positive side of things. I would suggest you get some medical and mental assistance. Call the local department of economic security and tell them your situation. Question 1: did you cause the accident? Question 2: If you had insurance when the accident happened, why haven't you filed a claim with your insurance company for medical assistance. Seems like your problem is with finances. Let me tell you a secret, give a nd it shall come back to you. The liitle you have left give it to needy people and dont worry about debts, what you are gonna eat or wear. If birds that neither work can have food everyday how much more about humans. So just dont worry instead give to needy people. First, I would like to say that I know how you are feeling. Something like this happened to me a few years ago. I had no money, no job, and no way out of a huge mess, and I did not know what to do. Second, relax. I know that things seem awful right now, but you can make it through this. Find someone to talk to, a friend, family, just someone. Third, make some phone calls to some local agencies to see if there is something out there to help you. I am sure that you will get a lot more nos then yeses, but make phone calls and ask for help. Next, call your doctors office and tell the nurse or receptionist what you told the doctor, and tell the doctor how you are feeling. Ask the doctor if there is anything that can be done for you because the way that you are feeling. Last, do not give up... Things get darkest before the dawn. call 1800 suicide if it gets there. talk to me i wil help u thru dogmicjoe@yahoo.com. All those issues are enough to depress anybody. it's a question of accepting things suck...but will get better...which may make the big difference. That and the feeling of "having no control" will lead to what you mentioned. So try to take control of something...anything.. demand answers from the Dr.s, see if they will write off some of your bills (many will if you explain the situation), and ask and consider if any injuries might have been to the brain causing this.....But your life sucks right now....and that would depress anybody. Knowing it's not forever and you have some control makes the difference in staying there forever, or feeling good again When too many things happen too quickly, it's hard to keep emotions even as the stress rises. Sounds like your doc is a total douche. I know it sucks because you are paying out of pocket, but I think you need to see a doc who will address all of your concerns, and not change the subject or completely blow you off! Now how you go about doing that with no insurance is beyond me. Is there not some sort of community health center in your area? You should do some research because you may be eligible for some medical benefits through your state. |
