Questions for people with SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)? |
I think I have it as well. But the wierd thing is it is mainly at nighttime. Is that because the sun goes down? Im a fun happy person, then it gets past like 5 P.M. and I completely turn into an anxious, depressed, and an overall wierd feeling person. Is this familiar with this disorder? You're experiencing something referred to as 'sun-downing'. It is when anxiety and depression levels elevate in the evening. See your doctor, there's probably an underlying condition like bipolar or generalized anxiety disorder making you feel this way. Maybe a therapist could teach you some skills for managing the feeling. no that does not seem like SAD at all.....SAD deals with the season changes...like you can have winter depression, then it goes away in the spring till the next winter. and it goes on like that. or it can be summer time depression stuff. Seems to me like you suffer from feeling that you do not believe you are successfully accomplishing enough each day. Your mind is probably panicing about the few hours left in the day to do what you had hoped to complete earlier in the day. Are you choosing too many projects? Are alot of them never completed? Do you feel you let others down? Do you put undue pressure on yourself to accomplish tasks unrealistically? This is not S.A.D. But you should definitely seek out professional help. You will eventually retrain yourself to simplify your life and not put unrealistic expectations on yourself. |
