S.A.D. (seasonal affective disorder)..........i know i have had it for the past few years..?

but lately, (even though it's summer) I just plain dread when the sun goes down, i'm anxious, sad, depressed, so #1 is it S.A.D. cause it's summer time, #2 any suggestions on how to cope, what to do? I've been taking melatonin vitamins for the past month or so to help with insomnia.... it helps... I just hate the night time................. thanks in advance

A full-spectrum light bulb is said to help with SAD. You can buy them on the internet, at Home Depot, etc... It is supposed to mimic the sun and therefore alleviate the winter blues. Good luck. You might also try some traditional therapy with a counselor and give antidepressants a try. Good luck. There will be an answer for you somewhere.
