I have SAD (seasonal affective Disorder)?

Is it wierd that i'm depressed when the sun's not out but when it is I feel like doing things and i perk up?

I have this condition also.
It was at it's worst when I was preganant and depressed from hormone changes. Throw in rain, rain and more rain. Dark and gloomy days and the year we had absolutly NO SUMMER in Australia with 3 days only of sunshine. Not a good combonation.
They say if you sit in front of a 'light' box it helps.
My SAD is a lot better now I'm well and trully not preganant. My son is now 11. But I remember that time so well. And when I do get SAD over winter.
I feel for you and everyone else who suffers as until you suffer from it they can't understand.
Did you get a prescription for anti depressents. You may only need to take them just before winter or deep spring and stop again after the dreaded season.

I don't think it's weird the weather can make lots of ppl feel happy/sad. I hate when it's raining or cold out I feel bored and
sleep. Now when the sun is out I'm out having fun we can do a lot more in the summer time and spring than winter. Good
luck my best to you.

NO. I and a million other people get that way during the year especially during the winter months. it just sux. this w-end though has been wonderful. i was out & about all over the place loving life...........letting things go more easily.

i don't want to suggest drugs even though they have them for SAD but if you want some people get these really bright lamps for their home as it to fake the sunlight............it's like for plants but work for people too.............look into on google.........

no, some people just have different moods at different times

yeah thats normal i get like that in the winter but come spring im fine.
