What impact does Seasonal Affective Disorder have on the community? Well, as a person with SAD, I can tell you that my tolarance for the general public is lowered. I am tired, grumpy, and very indifferent to others.....The fact that I work in the public does not help. So, I guess that my SAD has a negative impact on the community.... that is if they go thru my line at the grocery store........ LOL What community? Details.... Probably has no impact on the community. It is a personal thing that causes depression due to the lack of sunlight in winter months. It is easily treated by special lights. The depression may make someone a little sad or grumpy but that can happen anytime. It can cause lost work productivity and impairment in social or marital relationships. |
