What's the best way to deal with seasonal affective disorder? You know...the winter blues...without medicine

Get an S.A.D. light and sit in front of it for 20 or so minutes daily. Also, exersize!

Go to a tanning bed. Works wonders.

A tanning booth will simulate light therapy. Also taking a melatonin supplement helps sometimes.

Yes, get under some lights.

My mother had this issue and was sent home with some UV lamps. It worked for her.

Sit under a sun lamp for 1 hour a day

get some 'natural light' fixtures for your house

Get out in the daytime more.

Phototherapy/light therapy. You need to be exposed to sunlight or manufactured sunlight. I notice at Wal-Mart in the fruit department they have UV lights...go hang out there for several hours a day! Or, go tanning.

light therapy, alaska lights i think is the name of agood company. check there.

Install 'full-spectrum' lights wherever you can. Since they duplicate sunlight, which is what you are missing, they can help control the symptoms for you. Also, try to get out at least 1 time each day for some REAL sunlight.

holiday abroad spain, greece??

They make special lamps for this disorder, or tanning beds work too.

I was having trouble with winter blues one year and the Dr. told me to make sure the room you are working in is lit up, big time. The lights help tremendously and exercise plus eating healthy. Less sugar. It worked for me and I hope it will for you too.

Use lighting in your house that is as close to sunlight as possilbe. Don't use the cold temperature flourescent tubes, use the warm ones. Use Incandescent lights.

listening to happy music might work
