Scoliosis???

i was just diagnosed with scoliosis and i have to whear a brace. Will it be bulky because i have to wear it 24/7 and i need to know what it kinda cloths it will shhow under and whatnot. I am bummed but that's life!! Thank you 4 your help

I have scoliosis and at one time tried that brace idea. Had to get surgery later on anyway.

Big sweaters work best to cover the brace, but if Summer then you're out of luck. Just let it show. If asked about it tell people. Most will understand and look past it.

Now I dance (ballet and jazz) and my back issues are ok. You will get over this. Good luck sweetheart.

you need to talk to the Dr...every case is different.

ur the same person and a brace shouldnt b 2 much of a problem. if it really bothers u then u should wear baggier clothes.

Do you have neurofibromatosis? Just curious, because scoliosis is one symptom of NF. To find out more about NF (Neurofibromatosis) please look up on a search engine.

Have you ever heard about who Quasimoto is?

well i have very mild scoliosis and when my cousin was younger he had it to. Now I've never had to wear the brace but my cuz did and during the summer he was extremely hot and during the winter it kept him warmer.
It is kinda bulky but if u wear it right, it's not that noticeable.

You'll probably have to wear baggy clothes in order to hide it. But it's your unnatural robotic movement that gives away...not the bulkiness of the brace....

You can look into braces like Spinecor which let's you have total freedom of movement, can wear less baggy clothes and easier to hide...

All you might see through clothes is a line at the top of the brace. Obviously looser clothes will help disguise it. Eventually you won't even care if it's visible or not - trust me! I went through this in 6th grade (and ended up getting surgery anyway)
